IPTV UK is UK-focused. This page offers a practical notice-and-takedown route under applicable copyright law and, where relevant, the US DMCA.
Scope of this process
Rights holders may use this process to report material hosted or controlled by IPTV UK that they believe infringes copyright. It can also be used for a good-faith counter notification where material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
This procedure does not by itself claim US statutory safe-harbour status or replace any designated-agent registration required under US law. Notices will be assessed under the law reasonably applicable to the website, material and parties.
Before sending a notice
Confirm that the material is actually located on or controlled by IPTV UK, rather than on an independent app store, device platform, payment service or third-party website. Identify the exact URL and consider whether a licence, exception or other lawful basis may apply.
You may submit a notice yourself or through an authorised representative. A representative should be able to show authority to act for the rights holder.
Information required in a copyright notice
A complete notice should include:
- SignatureA physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised representative.
- Protected workIdentification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if several works on one site are involved.
- Reported materialThe precise URL or other information reasonably sufficient to locate each item.
- Contact detailsYour full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Good-faith statementA statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- Accuracy and authorityA statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where the DMCA applies, that you are authorised to act for the owner.
How to submit a notice
Email the complete notice to [email protected] with the subject “Copyright Notice / DMCA”. Attachments should be limited to evidence genuinely needed to assess the report.
Do not send account passwords, full payment details or unnecessary personal data. Incomplete notices may be returned with a request for the missing information.
Review and response process
We will check whether the notice identifies the work, material and claimant clearly enough to assess. Where a credible notice is complete, we may remove or disable access to the material while investigating and may notify the person responsible for it.
We may ask focused questions, forward relevant parts of the notice to the affected party, preserve records, or reject a notice that is materially incomplete, abusive or plainly unrelated to material under our control.
We aim to act promptly, but the time required depends on the detail, volume and legal complexity of the report.
Counter notification
If your material was removed and you genuinely believe this happened because of mistake or misidentification, a counter notification should include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury, where applicable, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address; and
- the jurisdiction and service-of-process consent required by section 512(g) where the US DMCA applies.
Send the counter notification to the same email address with “Counter Notification” in the subject line.
What happens after a counter notification
We may send a valid counter notification to the original claimant. Where section 512 applies, the material may be restored not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receipt of a valid counter notification unless the claimant notifies us that court proceedings have been filed to restrain the disputed activity.
Outside the DMCA process, restoration will depend on the applicable law, evidence and risk. We may keep material unavailable while a genuine dispute is being resolved.
False or abusive notices
Do not knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing or that removal occurred by mistake. False statements can damage lawful speech and may expose the sender to liability, costs or other consequences.
Automated notices should still be reviewed by a person capable of confirming the claim and the exact location of the material.
Repeat infringement and account action
Where appropriate, IPTV UK may suspend or terminate access associated with repeated, credible infringement and may take proportionate steps to prevent further misuse. Decisions consider the evidence, seriousness, pattern and any valid counter notification.
Copyright contact information
This email is the operational contact route for reports. It is not a representation that a DMCA agent has been registered with the US Copyright Office.
